Boo

Remeber that I said that my niece was going to a Halloween party this weekend. Well - she managed to find an outfit, but I wanted to make something for her to bring (to the two other young ladies that are having the party). I ended up making 2 boxes filled with candy such as worms, frogs, fake teeth, sculls etc.

The only problem I had was that I did not have any Halloween stamps - since I am not really in to the whole Halloween thing (it is not big here in Sweden, but might be soon - just looking at all the things they have in the shops now). So I had to draw something fast myself.

Here's the result - one with a Pumpkin on legs with a dew drop for nose and the witch hat, the other one with a pumpkin and a teenage witch with a spider necklace. I found the spiders in my grocery shop and added them with a dimensional. Cardstock and DPs from SU. Everything coloured with SU markers and aquarelle brush. Highlights with stickles and white gel pen. Boo written in a "spooky way" with gunmetal stickles.

I also wanted to make some candy that was really scary - so I made some fingers for her. They are made out of marzipan, the nail is a non-stop (chocolate candy here in Sweden) and the blood is just caramel colour. I think they really look scary - don't you? However - they taste very nice ;-)

The pics of the boxes looks a little orange - but that's because it's really, really dark outside here now. It's pitch black..

Hänglar nissar med lussekatter och pepparkakor

Well - I should ask you all to translate the above sentence to see if you are making any

progress in your Swedish training ;-)) Well - it says Hänglar brownie (well - in the Swedish dict. it said nisse = brownie, hm..and I thought it only was something you could eat...hihi...) with Lucia buns and gingerbread biscuits.

In Sweden we have the tradition of celebrating Lucia - December 13th. For those of you that would like to read more about this tradition - check out the following web-site.

I will also post the recipe I use for making the Lucia buns this week - if you would like to make them yourself. I used to make them for my friends and neighbours in Zürich. They all loved it, so I do hope you will do as well - if you decide to try.

As for the card - DPs from the local shop Pysselakuten. Stamp - hänglar och stänglar coloured with SU markers and aquarelle brush, highlights with white gel pen (note - no stickles on this one;-) Sweet treat sentiment and ribbon from SU. Gingerbread biscuit dies from QK (thank you Ann for cutting some for me yesterday). I made a pocket to slide the card into, so you could decide to write the greeting inside of the card or on the back of the insert.

Wish upon a star (Ser du stjärnan...)

I managed to make a card for this weeks challenge at Cute Card Thursday as well - guess if I am happy - two cards within a couple of hours!!! ;-))

You know the X-mas song - wish upon a star - well in Swedish the lyrics go: Ser du stjärnan i det blå (do you see the star up in the blue...)

The theme this week is stars and I borrowed my friends QK Star dies and I must say that I am rather pleased with how it turned out.

Cardstock, DPs and ribbons from stash. Stamp from hänglar och stänglar - coloured with SU markers and aquarelle brush. Highlights with stickles and white gel pen of course. Text made with my Making memories magnetic stamp set.

I also used my WWP from SU to make the whole for the ribbon.

PS. I am also almost done with a box that I am making for my niece. She's going to a Halloween party this coming weekend so I thought I would make a box filled with candy that she could bring. I hope to have this ready on Wednesday at the latest - too bad that I have to work all week....hihi......

Finally I got some time to play with it (had a friend over today who also is in to cardmaking) and here you have the result. I used lying Matthew - I think he is just adorable.

DPs and Kiwicardstock from SU. Buttons from stash. Choc chip ribbon from SU as well as the stamped flowers. I highlighted the flowers with Lime green stickle and added a dew drop in the middle. Stickles on Matthew's angel wings. Image coloured on aquarelle paper with my SU markers and aquarell brush.

Well - hope you like it. We changed to wintertime this weekend and I can tell you - it is sooo dark outside now and I think I need to try to use some additional light to get the pics reflecting the true colours.

It's raining tonight and

it sounds like we are having a storm coming our way. So what would be better than posting this card for the Cute Card Thursday challenge - "Autumn/Fall" - tonight ;-) http://cutecardthursday.blogspot.com/

I stamped Willow with umbrella on SU aquarelle papers and coloured her with SU markers and my aqua brush. Added stome stickles and mini glass pearls (hope you can tell - blue one for the rain drops and copper one on the umbrella). DPs, ribbon, cardstock and sentiment from SU. Dewdrops from The Robin' Nest. Flower from stash.

Well- the boys are already asleep (meaning both my hubby and son ;-), so I have to use the time wisely and colour some more images before heading towards bed.
