Summer Party Invitation

It feels like Summer already is here - at least after this wonderful and extremly warm weekend we had in Sweden. It was over 25C - so guess if Isac was one happy boy :-)

We got to celebrate Mother's Day with a BBQ on my sister's terrasse. It was just perfect. For those of you that never have been to Sweden - well - I can tell you - this time of the year - it does not get dark until very, very late and only for a few hours. So we are taking every chance we can to sit outdoors and enjoy the light and the warm temperature.

This was a perfect warm-up for this weeks Try it out Tuesday. Suzanne wanted us to create a Summer party invitation. Well - we are def. going to have plenty of parties - but the most important one that we have in our family is the birthday party for Isac. He turns 3 July 15th an are already telling us what he wants for his b'day ;-)
Therefore I decided to colour Isac with skateboard for my invitation. I coloured him with my copics (of course ;-). Then I made a big 3 to go in the background. Used a Swedish stamp with the text: Välkommen på kalas till = Welcome/Invitation to a party for.
Cut it out with my SU punch and added the scallop circle on top of the blue circle that was cut out with my nestie.

Added flowerwire and linked that to a flower where I have written Isac's letters on each of the leaves. I wanted it to look like a big balloon flying in the sky with his name on the flower attached to the string. DPs from Basic Grey.

Hope you would like to play along and upload your projects on SCS or PCP with keyword "TIOT21".

Pink, Green and Yellow

that's the new challenge over at RoP. I wanted to make something else this time - and went for a smaller card size, but with a butterfly on the top (hope you can see it). I got the idea from Mirkwood Designs. Used the new lovely DPs from Basic Grey. Coloured little Flutter Anya with my copics and made her hair really dark this time. Isn't she a cutie?
Added dew drops to the flowers and on the wings of the butterfly. Also added some hearts (cut out with my SU punch) to the wings. I used the center kisses as the butterfly antennas.
Limeade ribbon as for the flower cut out with my SU punches. Added some velcro to make the butterfly hold the card together.
Here's a pic of the inside of the card as well. We gave it to my Mother yesterday - since we celebrated Mother's Day in Sweden yesterday.
Looking fwd to hear from you and hope will play with us at RoP.

Caroline - the little nurse

Today we are celebrating Mother's Day here in Sweden - so I will not be able to check in on your blogs until late tonight. We are having a great weather at the moment - sunny and extremly warm. Well - that's how it usually is the week before the kids go on summer break.

Just wanted to share another graduation card for you - for a girl named Caroline. She will graduate from Upper Secondary School - with health care as her major.

I decided to colour Cathrine the Vet for this graduation card. Added the lyrics as well as the little graduation cap in the corner.

Her name was cut out with QK Eliza. It was hard to make it fit the 6x6 card - but I managed DPs from Basic Grey and of course I got to use my nesties for the different layers.

Kram and have a wonderful day - now I am going outdoors to hopefully have my breakfast served - after all - it's only Mother's Day one day a year :-)

Another graduation card

Well - hope you will not be bored with me posting all the graduation cards that I've been making for the girls and boys who takes "Studenten" (graduate from Upper Secondary School).

This time it's for a girl named Linda. Linda likes to take a lot of photos - so I decided to make a funky camera for my card. Cut out the different layers with my nesties and used 3d dots to build the camera lens up. DP from Basic Grey Lime Rickey.
Coloured the Groovy Angel from SCACD with my copics. Made a little graduation cap to go on her cute little head. Added the image to the center - to make it look like Linda was the camera object.

Cut out her name with QK Eliza. Added flowers in the Swedish colours Blue and Yellow.
And some bling of course.

Hope you are having a wonderful Saturday.

Time to graduate

Graduation time is almost here. In Sweden most students graduate early June.
I have been asked to make some cards for this special day - so you will see plenty of them
coming ;-))

Here's one that I would like to share. It's for a young man named Fredrik. He's graduating from the vehicle program - hence the little Hänglar boy with the car ;-)

I coloured him with my copics. Cut out the name with my Revolution (alphabet Eliza)
DP from Basic Grey. Did not want to put on too many things - since it's for a young guy - so
I only added the Graduation cap (drawn by me) and the lyrics to the Student song - that we will hear everywhere these days. And then I added a few roses.

It does not feel that long ago, since I graduated myself....cough.....cough... ;-)

Well - hope you will have a great Friday and I will be back with more graduation cards.

Forever Friends

First of all - thank you Suzanne for making me bringing out my SU markers again (that I do love so much). The reason is that this TIOT is all about watercolouring - using water colours, SU markers, distress inks.....well - anything that goes with water ;-)

When I first got my SU markers from my sweet friend Elizabeth in Chicago - I was not sure if I was going to like them. You see - I started colouring with my regular aquarelle colours (that I used for paintings earlier) when I started with cardmaking (fall-07). Then Elizabeth told me that I could get the aquarelle touch using the SU markers and water. Well - she was right and from then on I just could not live without them.
Then I needed of course to try copics - as you have seen in my previous postings for some months now ;-) I guess - a girl can't have enough colouring options - it's like make-up - you need to try the latest product on the market - right???

Anyway - back to this weeks TIOT. I decided to make a folder card this time. So I got my pink cardstock out and the DPs from Basic Grey Sugar collection. Chalked around the edges with pine cone ink. I coloured the brand new "Nuts for you" image from the VC collection with my SU markers and aqua paint brush. Burnt the edges - well- it still smells like fire indoors ;-))
Added her on 3d dots on the different DP layers. Glued her to the folder card - note - not the whole part.
The three hearts are from SU. Stamped them with Memento Ink - Rich Cocoa - as well as the Susanament "Forever Friends". Added Prima roses and Bella Baubles.
Here's a picture of the inside and from the side- note the velcro on the lower part. One piece is also behind the image. This makes it easy to open and close the folder card - almost like a little purse.

Hope you would like to play along. If so - please upload your card to SCS or PCP using the keyword "TIOT20".

Happy Tuesday everyone and to my cousin Helené in Vienna - Happy Birthday sweetie!
