I'm in chock - but oh - soooo happy!

I am saying it again - you ladies out there - wow - what a wondeful group of people and YES - the world would be a better place if it was govern by you all. So here's to craft ladies all over the world!

I have been so pampered this week - receiving wonderful things in my mailbox (not talking about bills here ;-) First I received this wonderful card from my sweet friend Tammi - she is soo talented. She also included some lovely images from Lelo Designs, Stamping Bella and Penny Black. Thank you Tammi! Love them!

Then I had to go and pick up a package that had arrived from Italy. My sweet friend Serena had told me that she was going to send a small thank you for me helping her with some things. So she sent me this card with her very first Anki's Sweethearts image. Don't you love this one? I certainly do. Then - on to the small - well - if this is SMALL - hm.......then I do not know what to expect travelling in Italy ;-))

I was just stunned and have to look at the goodies - over and over. She also included a gift from Isac. I wanted to take a picture of him with it yesterday - but it's been extremly hot over here - so he fell asleep in my arms already at 18.00 yesterday.

So I will take a photo of him tomorrow to show you his happy face.

Tammi and Serena - you are such wonderful persons and I do hope that we get to meet face to face some day.

We remember moments

and that's what 4th of July is about - isn't it? So for this weeks TIOT - we should make a card/project using the colours Red, White and Blue.

I decided to go all the way - and colour my image "Just because" from VC collection in only these colours. I also made the sky go in red, blue and white :-) I coloured my image with my SU markers and aquarelle brush - to get the feel of an aquarelle painting. Added some 3d gloss her dress, hair and on the blue fungus and stickles on the fly agaric and her wings. Highlights with my white gel pen. Sentiment is from the first Susanaments collection.

As you can see - I have only one sheet of DP and that is from the set that I received from my sweet friend Tara. The different cardstock layers - in blue, red and white - are from my stash.

I also added the roses to match this theme. It was hard, but so much fun to stick to these 3 colours - so thank you Suzanne for challenging us again.

Hope you would like to play along - and if so - please upload your card/project using the keyword "TIOT25" on SCS, PCP or add a link to your comment below.

Also - make sure that you visit the rest of the DTs, but also Jana - how is our new Spotlight stamper. Do you want to become one - well read more about it here.

So to all of you out there - hope you will have a wonderful 4th of July celebration. I myself will also celebrate - but we have other moments to remember - 4th of July is the day that hubby and I became a couple some years ago;-)

Going to the beach?

Well - that's what I want to do again - after having such wonderful weekend - but now it's time to spend the day in the office again. Can't get too tanned of course ;-)

Anyway - Jodi is hosting our challenge over at RoP this time. She want us to make a Gate Fold Card with sewn, hand or faux stitching. I have not done a Gate Fold Card in ages. Why is that? They are so fun to make - but I guess it takes time to keep up with all the new things going on in the crafting world - that we tend to forget what we we learned being new to this wonderful hobby.

I decided to colour this cute little beach Anya from the stamp set Rain, Snow, Shine. I was lucky to get this one stamped from my sweet and talented friend Tammi - thank you dear! Summer has these stamps in store now - so guess what I will be ordering ;-)

I coloured my cool beach Anya with my copics. Used the Basic Grey "Lime Ricky" for my DP.

Added some Prima flowers and spacers. Used my SU slot punch so that I easily could tie the ribbon from SU.

Here's what the card looks like - half open. As you can see - I used the matching DPs on the inside of the card as weI hope you like it. Please pop over to our RoP challenge site and join us. Also - remember - you have until tomorrow - June 30th to apply to be one of the Guest DTs for

X-mas greetings

We've had such warm and wonderful weather here lately so I guess I am suffering from sunstroke - since I ended up making a X-mas card today *lol*.
We have spent almost the whole day at the beach - swimming, playing some beach soccer and of course - just enjoying the sunshine and a nice ice-cream. I decided to make this card -our evening BBQ. I guess I needed something more than just a cool drink to cool off ;-)
I know that many of you are making X-mas cards all year round - and that's great - because I know that you then will be ready when X-mas is here. I always think of doing that myself, but there is always something in the way - at least I have this one now...hihi.....

Anyway - back to the card. I had not coloured little Alicia from my very first Anki's Sweethearts serie - so she had to be my main image. Coloured her with my copics and used the wonderful DPs from Basic Grey. Added a sentiment from my SU kit and cut out some snowflakes with my punch and added a snowflake charm. Oh - I almost forgot - I added flowersoft to her coat and on the ground.
It was very fun to make a X-mas card this early. Now I am ready for a refreshing shower - it's steeming hot inside as well and something more to drink.
Kramis and hope you all have had a wonderful weekend as well.

Honor the life of Ethan Weiman

Pink Cat Studio has designed the Weiman Wranglers digital stamps to honor the life of Ethan Weiman and raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

"On August 5, 2004, Ethan Weiman was welcomed into this world, and into the loving arms of his parents, Dave and Alicia Weiman.

On June 12, 2009 Ethan's little life left those same loving arms, as he was welcomed into the loving arms of God in Heaven. In his mother's words " Heaven gained the greatest little boy ever".

Ethan was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma in July of 2007. He was a brave, and tough little cowboy! Ethan loved Knock Knock jokes, balloons, and of course, being the true cowboy that he was - horses! His younger sister, Ava just adored her big, brave brother."

I think this is for a wonderful cause and I want to honor the life of Ethan.
I am sure that many of you want to do the same.

You can read more about Ethan and his family on his Mother's blog.

My heart goes to his family and friends.

Clearly Summer

Well - I am counting the days - it's soon vacation time over here and then finally SUMMER - YEAH!!!!

Suzanne wanted us to make something on the theme Clearly Summer for this weeks TIOT- using acetate or transparency in some way. I had ordered some acetate sheets from Susana earlier, but now I got to finally use them ;-)

Decided to use some of my Basic Grey DPs for this card. Cut out the center with my nestie. Added the layers of DP on the outside and the inside of the card. Punched out matching flowers with my flower punch. Added the acetate on the inside of the card and covered the corners with DP. I also used the circle that was left after making the center as a background on the inside of the card.
Added a lot of flowers as well to the inside and then a matching pink ribbon from SU.
I almost forgot to mention that I coloured little Emilia - ready for picnic with my copics. Cut her out and made sure that she was going to show in the middle of the window that I had created. Put her on 3d dots as well to give the card a little more depth.

Hope you like it. If you want to play along for this weeks Try it out Tuesday - make sure to upload your cards with the keyword "TIOT24" on SCS or PCP or leave a comment with a link below.

Post it note organizer for Isac's teachers

Hope you all are having a great week so far. This week is a little bit busy, but we are so much looking fwd to Midsummer that we celebrate on Friday. For those of you that would like to know how we do it over here - then visit this site for more information.
Isac is going to have a Midsummer party at the daycare center already tomorrow. Some of the teachers are also going on vacation so they wanted to have this little party a couple of days early + we all have the day off on Friday.

Therefore I decided to make these little post-it-note organizers. I found the tutorial over at Angie Juda's blog yesterday and thought it would be fun and it was :-))

Decided to ink up Isac the soccerplayer with my Rich Cocoa Memento Ink. Coloured him with my copics. Then added the different layers, attached the little pocket on the inside, the post-it-notes and the ribbon to hold the pen. Cardstock and DP from stash. Ribbon from SU.

The reason why I chose Isac for my image is not only because he's our son - it's also because the teachers know how much he loves his soccer outfit - as I told you the other day. So there will be a picture of him in the Swedish outfit in the pocket insert.
They will get this together with a towel from Ekelund Weavers.
I had to take pic of the back - since I know have my own A-C Bärgman stamp!! Yeah! That's the one I won from Prickiform.

I made 3 - almost identical post-it-notes organizers for the teachers. Here's a pic of them all together.

Hope you'll like it and make sure to pop over to Angie Juda's site - her tutorial is super.

Fluffy flowers for you

Suzanne has made this fun sketch for us over at SCACD to work with for this weeks TIOT. I decided to actually for once follow the sketch, but then I turned the whole image clockwise ;-)

The DPs are from SU as well as the blue ribbon. Added some paperflowers and embellies from stash (well the embellies have been sent to me from my sweet friend Marlene). Decided to add some of them on a pink flower thread (purchased in our local flower shop).
Cut out the circles with my nesties.

I was eager to ink up little Fluffy from the new release of Anki's Sweethearts (well I knew what he looks like of course:-) but it's always exciting to ink the first stamp up). Coloured him with my copics and added some stickles to the flower and to his ears.

Looking fwd to see what you will come up with using the sketch provided by Suzanne. Upload your card/project to PCP or to SCS using the keyword "TIOT23".

Combine and flowers

This time we have a new challenge over at RoP - set by our sweet Rosette.

Rosette wanted ut to combine our RoP challenge with another - of our choice + add flowers.
So I checked the current challenges and I fell in love with this sketch over at Sketch Saturday.
I followed the sketch, but did move a few elements around - like the corners for example.
The DPs, Ribbon and Sentiment are from SU.

The yellow roses are from my local craft store Pysselakuten. I chose Tilda from Magnolia for my image. Coloured her with my copics and used my white gel pen for the highlights. Oh - and I chalked the edges around the DPs and the yellow roses with the colour Umber. The corners are cut out with my Shapabilities.

Hope you like it and looking fwd to see your cards as well.

Release of Anki's Sweethearts #2

Want this badge?"

Well - I am so happy - because today the new Anki's Sweethearts #2 is available over at SCACD. It's so nice to finally share with you the illustrations that now has gone from my sketch book - to the etcher - to Susana's store and then---hopefully into your crafty hands. I know that you ladies out there are sooo talented and I can't wait to see what you all will create with them.

Today I want to show you Isac the soccerplayer. Those of you who know me knows that I just adore our cute little son Isac. He is supersweet, funny, clever and picks up and remember everything. I would say that people that does not know his age - they would think that he is older than he actually is (he turns 3 in July).

I had no clue then that he would totally fall in love with his soccer outfit (that we purchased for him for the European Championship 2008). He loves the Swedish players - especially Zlatan and Henke. He knew the lyrics to a Swedish song about Zlatan already when he was only a little over 1 year old. See the video for the song performed by Elias here. When he sees a Swedish flag - he calls it the Zlatan flag...hihi......

So the other night when Sweden was playing vs Denmark - he insisted to have the soccer outfit on while he was watching the game with us. Here's a picture of him - just before the game.

So as you can understand - this cute little guy is the one inspiring me to all the Isac images - but also then to Isac the soccerplayer. He also insists to wear the outfit to the daycare center - even if it would be in the middle of the winter ;-))

Over to the project then. I've made so many things for other people - so I wanted to make something for Isac. Therefore I decided to make this little doorsign for his room.

I coloured him with my copics, coloured the chipboard letters with Distress ink and added the Susanament from set no 2. DP from stash. I do wish that Isac will believe that he can chase his dreams and make them come true even when he is turning 15 or so. That self confidence that we have as kids - I wish that he can keep that and continue to trust in himself and believe that everything is possible.

Well - hope you all have liked what you've seen so far.
Wish you all a wonderful weekend and hope to see you play with these new images.

Teacher Rebecka

First of all - a warm thank you for all the sweet comments regarding the sneak peeks that we showed yesterday. You all made me blush and of course very happy.

Today I want to show you another sneak peek of the Anki's Sweethearts collection #2- being released on Friday - this time it's my other niece (Victoria's older sister) that has been the model for this little Teacher Rebecka.

Rebecka is a very pretty girl - just like her younger sister. She is also so clever and smart. I am amazed all the time when we play Trivial Pursuit - she has the answers to almost every question - and then she is only turning 13!!! She also loves history - just like her Dad. So I def. know who I will ask for answers in the future. Another thing about Rebecka - she loves her little rabbit Katarina. Love you sweetie!!

I decided to make a gift bag after a template that I got on a local scrapevent. Rebecka can keep it as a memory of all this or give the bag to her teacher this Friday (last day before Summer break). Cardstock and ribbon from SU. DP and flowers from stash. Spacers and the cute handmade little angel sent and made by Marlene. Marlene - You are so talented! Love those little angels!
Rebecka is coloured with my copics. Sentiment from the new Susanaments that also will be available on Friday. Oh - and yes - I did add some Bella Baubles as well ;-)

Here's a close up of Rebecka - hope you like her as much as I do.

I hope you haven't missed the candy over at the store blog. If you have - make sure that you pop over and see what you can win.

Also - visit the rest of the DT girls blogs. I sure will - because I am so curious to see what they have come up with.

You're invited

to the sneak peeks of Anki's Sweethearts #2. I am excited that we are one day closer to the release day of the next set of Anki's Sweethearts. Of course I know exactly how all of them look - but it's so amazing to see what the SCACD DT will make with them as well as - hopefully - you will as well in the future.

The first sneak peek that I can give you is of Princess Victoria. You might think that she got the name after our Crown Princess in Sweden (who now is engaged to be married - everyone is so excited over here), but the answer is NO.
The model for this little princess is my niece Victoria - now age of 10. She has always loved to dress like a little princess when she was younger. I bought a very nice Princess outfit for her in Zürich - when I lived there and I can tell you - every party that she attended - she came dressed as a princess. I think that she back then would go shopping - dressed as a princess....hihi....... She's so cute and sweet.

For this card I used the new Susanament and made an invitation card for a girls party.
Cut out the scalloped circles and circles with my nesties. Added the limeade ribbon - to make it look like a flower on the front side of the card.
The DPs are sent to me from my sweet friend Tara (thanks dear).
Then for the inside - I decided to make a little castle out of the DP. I found the template here. Added some circles behind the castle and then little Victoria next to it and some Bella baubles.
Here's a pic of the pop-up card. I added some shimmerz to her dress and the hearts. Hope you can tell. Oh -I almost forgot - Victoria is coloured with copics.

Added some additional circles - where the name, date, time etc for the invitation could be written.

Well - looking fwd to hear your comments and please make sure that you visit the rest of the DTs for more sneak peeks.

For Dad

This week Suzanne set the challenge to make something for Father's Day+ a gift. I can tell you - thanks to Suzanne - I will be so much ahead for ones - since we celebrate Father's Day in November in Sweden *lol*.
I wanted to make something different, so I browsed the web and found this wonderful tutorial to make a box in the shape of a tie. Thank you Kimberley for the wonderful tutorial. It was superquick to make and also so fun. I decided to only use cardstock - but you can of course use DP for the lid.

The reason why I only went with the blue cardstock was that I wanted it to be looking like a clean summer-tie. I therefore only added some bling in form of Dazzlers.

Ribbon to attach the little tag/card to go with the box are from the Doodlebug Limeade set.

I used the little Itty Bitty Slice of Pie from Lockhart. Coloured with my copics and cut it out with my nesties. Added it on several layers of DP from Basic Grey - also cut out with my nesties.

The reason why I went for the Itty Bitty Slice of Pie is because my Dad loves desserts and sweet things. I plan to fill this tie-shaped box with candy - but if I do that now - well - then I think none would be left for him in November ;-))

Looking fwd to see your projects for Father's Day. Remember to upload it on PCP or SCS using the keyword "TIOT22".

Kramisar and make sure to pop by tomorrow - that's when the sneak peaks of the new Anki's Sweethearts will start. Also - check out the store blog and the rest of the DTs projects.

Congratulations Alexandra

Today Alexandra graduates from the Health care program! Alexandra is the daughter to our sweet neighbours. They wanted me to make a special card from them to her and of course I said yes. They asked for a large card - so this is made out of a 12x12 cardstock.

DPs from SU. Stamps - Hänglar, Magnolia and GF. All coloured with copics.

Alexandra is a very caring person and also loves to bake - the cute little Hänglar girl was perfect as well as the little Magnolia girl that has been injured (Alexandra knows what to do after three years of study health care).

Added the graduation cap to the cool Miss Anya - Alexandra is very beautiful and modern girl - and therefore this image was a perfect match. The little hearts are made by me out of the flower thread that you can by in the flower shops or garden centers - Marlene - maybe you can help me with the right English word for it ;-)

Congratulations dear and well done!

Sofia - the chemist

Another graduation card for you! Sofia is graduating from the chemist program.

I decided to use the little Hänglar Baker boy - from the May release. However -I added extensions to his short hair and turned him into a little blond girl ;-)) I thought it was perfect to use this image- since she was mixing up some new formula or so.
Added some molecules and chemistry bottles.

I coloured little "Sofia" with my copics. Changed the bakery hat to look more like a graduation chemistry cap. The DPs that I used are the new one's from Basic Grey - just love them these days. Added roses, ribbon and blings and a little heart charm. The circles are cut out with my nesties of course.

Hope you forgive me for turning him into a little girl ;-)
