It's raining hugs and kisses

Last week we call the Women week - or in Swedish "Fruntimmers veckan". Fruntimmer was the old way of saying Woman in Swedish. The reason why it's called this is because the calender is filled with only name days for women - except the first one that's for Fredrik on July 18th.

They also used to say that the weather during "Fruntimmersveckan" always mean a lot of rain. The reason is because women cry so easily - and with so many women - well then it must rain during this week. At least that's what they thought in the old days ;-) So what could I do - needed to make a card with at least one umbrella on ;-)

So here you have it - the stamp from Victoria Case Collection called Singing in the rain.

Coloured her with my copics and this time I only wanted brown and pink on my card - with the exception for the little pool of water of course.

Used the Susanament for kisses and hugs - since I think this little girl really is happy - despite the rain. Added some flowers - my flower punch is used a lot these days and also some Bella Baubles.

Ribbon and DPs are from SU.

Kram and I will be singing - even if it continues to rain after "Fruntimmersveckan" ;-)

Sweets for you

Hej!

This week Suzanne wants us to make a gift of some kind. Well - I really love sweets - maybe too much, hm.....So I decided to actually try and use all of the Anki's Sweetheart images on one set. Well - I almost made it...hihi..... You can count them yourself and see if you know which one's that are missing ;-)

I first saw this Milk Carton Container over at Rach and that's how I found and purchased the tutorial for this fun project from Becky. She has some really fun tutorials for sale - so I've purchased a few of them. It's fun to sometimes make something else than a card - right?

So here's how the project turned out:

The front with Julia with flowers, Julia the Cheerleader, Fluffy, Emilia with heart and Isac the soccerplayer. Sentiment stamp " A little Yummy for your tummy" from SU. One side of the box with Isac with skateboard and Cathrine with butterfly.
The back side of the box with Emilia (going on picnic) Cathrine with kittens, Teacher Rebecka, Cathrine with friends and Princess Victoria.

The other short side of the box with Alicia and Cathrine the Vet.

DPs are from SU as well as the ribbons. Chalked around the images with pine cone.
All images are coloured with copics.

These cute Milk Carton Containers have a hidden trap door in the bottom - so you can easily open and close them without distroying the top of the container.

Hope you liked this project and if you want to play along - please upload your gift on SCS or PCP using the keyword "TIOT29". Also - remember to add SCACD as a keyword so that we easily find your project to Susana's gallery over at SCS.
Also - please check the store blog for the rest of the DT gift projects.
Kram Anki
PS. I will not tell you if the boxes are filled with the chocolate or if it they disappeared while making this project...hihi.....

Folklore love

This weeks challenge over at Roses on Paper is set by our sweet Lim. She wants us all to use hearts on our cards. Well - if I have a weak spot - then it is for hearts - in all forms.
I went for Tilda with braid.

I coloured her with my distress inks - yes I purchased distress inks (the re-inkers) some time ago - but have not had the chance to play with them. I really need to practise to get the result I want. So I better start using them more often ;-)

Used my Basic Grey DP and cut out some hearts with my SU punch. Added the flower (with the heart spacer) and added a heart charm. Needed some bling - so I had to put a few dew drops there as well :-). The sentiment is from SU.

Well - hope you would like to play with us and make sure that you visit the RoP site to see what the rest of the DTs have been up to.

Also - remember to stay tuned on the Belles'n Whistles blog - so you know when to spend the money you've been saving up for those cute E Bell images coming soon. I hope you have not missed the Sneak-a-peak puzzles? Well - if you have - don't worry - Summer has two more images to reveal and give away, which means four more days left of Sneak-a-Peek puzzles!

Some sugar

over at Sugar Bowl with the sketch provided by Gayle.

and finally I got the time to play. We should also use ribbon and/or bows.

I decided to ink up Sweet'n Sassy - she was one of the first stamps that I purchased outside of Sweden. I think she is supersweet and cool - but I guess when you get to have a lot of stamps - the first one's doesn't seem to see ink - which is really sad. I better go through my stash and ink up the "oldies" ;-)I first started to choose my DPs - normally I colour first - don't know why - but I like to colour and find it so relaxing. All DPs are from my new SU stash. Loving them and the colours are just perfect as well as the patterns. Then I coloured this little lady with my copics. Tried to stick to Gayle's sketch but rotated some of the DP layers.

Added some Bella Baubles and the ribbon from SU.

Hope you like it. I am actually very pleased with it ;-)

Kramisar and have a great Sunday. Looks like it's going to rain here today again - so more time for me to craft - or actually - I am going to make sour cream containers filled with rice for a wedding - so it's going to be mass production time - Will show you a pic of them later.

Bee my honey

Hej!

Sorry for not being able to visit all your blogs lately - but I guess that's the same for many of you during Summer. We want to spend as much time as possible outdoors. Today the sun is shining - but it's very windy. The heatwave that we had end of June early July is gone.

I guess that many of you will get back to your crafting after the Summer. Well - I am at least hoping to attend a small scrapevent in Partille - north of Gothenburg - September 26th - 27th.
One of the participating stores will be "Hänglar and Stänglar". So for all of you that has an addiction to these stamps - if you are in Sweden around this time - don't miss the chance to meet Marie and her team in person.

So here's a little Hänglar card for you today. I guess that I don't get the time to use my Hänglar stamps as often - but living in Sweden - well - you know that you can get your hands on them and that's why I tend to go for the images that are not that common over here instead. You always want what you can't get your hands on - something within the human nature I guess.

I coloured this cute little Bumblebee boy with my copics. Added a few flowers and Bella Baubles. Wanted to keep the layout rather "light".

Well - hope your weekend is going to be a great one + hope to be able to visit your blogs this weekend.

Little something for you

Hej!

I'm still enjoying vacation time with the family and friends - and also that I get more craft time. Well - normally I do colour and create while Isac and hubby is sleeping - and that I still do. The good thing though is that I don't have to get up early - so it does not matter how late I go to bed :-)

Today I want to show you this little card that I made with the cutie Emma. I think this is my favorite out of all the new Bell cuties over at SCACD. Don't know why - but I think it has something to do with her expression, the way she hold her hand and that cute little kitten.

I coloured little Emma with my copics and decided to go for one colour that I normally don't use that often - blue.

I must say that I like the result with the striped DP from SU and the different cardstock layers of pink and blue. Cut out the flowers with my punches and added a Bella Bauble in the center.
The sentiment is from SU - I really like it with the swirls ;-)

Hope you like it and I am so looking fwd to see what you crafty ladies are making with your new E Bell images from SCACD. I am sure they are stunning. If you have received your order and made a card - please let us know - you can post a link here so we will find it.

Also - if your name is Emma - then happy name day - because in the Swedish calendar - it's Emma's name day today!

Flower for you

Here's for my friend Tammi - thank you for sending me this fun and cute image from Lelo design. It was a true pleasure to colour. Once again -I am really in the simple and clean layout mode - don't know why, but....I am ;-)

The true colours are not really showing on this pic - but they are blue and soft pink.
DPs from SU as well as the ribbon. Attached the roses - loving these as well as my flower punch. Don't know why it is that I am going through different phases in life. I remember when I first found stickles - then I had stickles everywhere - not only on my cards back then...hihi......I guess it is - the latest things you find - is the most fun to use or - what about you?

Well - I better go and get my morning coffee and enjoy my vacation time - the laundry can wait - can't it ;-)

Thanks a bunch

for providing us with such wonderful images to work with! A huge thank you to Susana and to the wonderful artist Elisabeth Bell.

This weeks Try it Out Tuesday is to create a Thank you card using one of the new E Bell images. Well - that was hard - not to create a thank you card - but to choose which image to work with, since they all are just wonderful.

I decided to go with Susan for my image.
Coloured her with my copics. Wanted to use the new ones in purple - so therefore I had to choose the cardstock in purple and use my new Basic Grey Lemonade DPs for this card :-)

I also made a small pin to go with the card - with a flower charm in the end. The true colours are not really showing here - it's not as dark as on the picture.
Added a sentiment from Aud Design, Ribbon from SU and some stickles of course ;-)

Hope you would like to play with us and if so - upload your card on PCP or SCS using the keyword "TIOT28."

X-mas in July

That's the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday. That means that I might be ready in time this year with my X-mas cards *lol*.

I decided to colour this cute little Miss Anya from GF - that's available from Roses on Paper.
Coloured her with my copics. I must say - it's not always easy to colour the Reds - since I think they tend to bleed. Any tips regarding this?

Used my Basic Grey DP, added some flower soft (white and baby blue) and the sentiment from Aud Design. I also added the cute snowflake charm that I've got from my sweet friend Marlene.

Wanted the layout to be very clean - don't know - but it seems like I am back to basics again ;-) Hope you like it and are having a wonderful Sunday.

I'm also singing Happy B'day for my sweet DT friend Rosette. Have a great day sweetie!

Kram - Anki

Happy Saturday

to you all!

I don't have a card to show you today - working on a few and it seems to be a typical Swedish Summer day today - that is with rain ;-) So I can stay indoors and colour up images and have a lot of fun. I am also giving myself more lessons in using my Sketch Book Express program and my Wacom Table. It's fun - but it always takes some time to get the technique right.

Here's one of my very first sketches using these two products.

What do you think? It was hard not to use my regular sketch book, but instead draw directly on the Wacom Table. So I better practise more.

Well - I am ready for my morning coffee now and then hopefully get my drawing skills improved using these fun products.

Ladies - I hope you remember to go for puzzle piece hunting for the fun over at Belles'n Whistles?

Kramis and wishing you a wonderful weekend!

You're invited

to the Elisabeth Bell release over at SCACD. I guess you will pop over directly to the store to secure your set of the new fresh and cute images. So therefore I will keep this post short - don't want to keep you too long :-)

I stamped little Dolly with Memento Rich Cocoa. Coloured her with copics. Got to use the new DPs from Basic Grey - Lemonade. Loving it. One sheet of DP is from the Urban Prarie.
Added some Bella Baubles. The white lace is from my stash. Sentiment is a Susanament of course :-)
Highlighted her cute little hat with some stickles.
Finished with adding some roses - I am so in love with them as well as making hearts out of flower wire/thread that you've seen on many of my cards lately ;-)
Well - what are you waiting for? Pop over to the store and get yourself some new cute images to colour and create with. Also - make sure that you see what the rest of the DT have been up to.

Do the Bell hop

As you all know - the release of the exclusive Elisabeth Bell images for SCACD takes place tomorrow. Make sure that you get your hands on these cuties. Mine arrived today and I was so excited to ink them up right away. They are adorable, cute, funky, wonderful, stunning....well the list could be long. I can't show you all of them here - of course - but if you want to join me for a blog-hop - then you get to see a lot of them and of course I will have a new card for you to show tomorrow :-)

I got to display Danni - Danni loves butterflies and as a coincidence - that's something our DT member Danni does too....so our sweet Susana decided to name this image after her - I think that is so super sweet and just like our Susana! This cute Danni has wings - but I wanted to show you what she looks like without them - just so that you know how useful she is with or without wings.

Inked her with Memento Rich Cocoa - love that since it gives the images a soft look.
Coloured her with my copics added some stickles and used my new White Inkssential pen for highlights.
I used my new DPs from Basic Grey - Urban Prarie - love them as well and especially this one - since it has butterflies on (right Danni?? :-). Added some Bella Baubles and a heart shaped charm. Cut out matching flowers with my flower punches and added spacers in the centers.
Used the Limeade Ribbon and addes some scrap from the DP.
Sentiment is a Susanament and I decided to use "Just because" - and that's for Danni my sweet DT friend - Just because of you sweetie - you inspired me to make this butterfly card.
I hope you like the new images as much as I do and now - go on our little blog hop - Please start at our talented Suzanne's blog.

Thank you also for your very sweet b'day wishes for Isac. He had a wonderful time. I'm totally exhausted after all the cooking and baking - so today I am just focusing on colouring these new cuties.

Happy b'day Isac

This is a picture of 4 generations of the Bärgman family. It's Isac, me, my Dad and my Grandmother Aina. She was so pleased that she could be part of Isac's Baptism, but she got ill the week after and sadly passed away October 2nd. She got to be 93 years old and we love her so much and we tell Isac about her often. She and I was very close and we had tons of fun together. The gown that Isac is wearing is a gown that we all have worn - even my Dad ;-)

You can see the names on the gown of all of us that has worn it.

Can you believe it - today this little cutie turns 3. I know that everyone keep on telling me that time flies when you have kids - but I mean - it can't be three years ago since this little fellow arrived. What did we do before?

Oh - I almost forgot to post the card that I made for him. Thank you Tammi for sending me the perfect image to colour- Isac love airplanes and dogs :-)

We all love our little Indian - So happy b'day Isac and now we better get your b'day party going!

Love Mom and Dad

Grattis - Congratulations

Ready for TIOT27? Well - here it is: We should use the following sketch provided by our guru - Suzanne and make a b'day card.
First I thought of making a b'day card for Isac - since he turns 3 tomorrow - but then I decided not to (well -I will make one for him of course - but not this one.. ;-). I wanted to make a card for a little girl this time.

I decided to use little Cathrine with kittens from Anki's Sweethearts #2. I coloured her with my copics. Then I was lucky to have my SU DPs in the mail last week (thank you Elizabeth) that would fit perfectly with these colours. Yes - I did colour Cathrine first - and then matched with the papers. Sometimes I do the other way around - but it's nice to spend some time just colouring when you are enjoying vacation time as I am right now ;-) Chalked around the edges with pine cone. Cut out matching flower with my punch and added some roses from stash to the center. Added the pink (it's more pink in real life than on the pic) ribbon from SU and some Bella Baubles. Cut out Grattis (Congratulations in Swedish) with my new QK alphabet that my Italian friend Serena was so kind enough to send me. Serena was also included a lot of stamps for me - what a suprise it was. And there I she had sent me this little cute mouse from all the way from Italy. I could not resist him - he needed to go on the inside of the card.

Hope you would like to play with us and upload your card/project on SCS or PCP with the keyword "TIOT27".
Oh - and make sure that you don't miss the chance to win some yummy candy - check out all the details on our store blog.
The release day is getting closer ;-)

RoP Summertime and Vacation

We are having a new challenge for you over at Roses on Paper. This time it's our sweet Iris who is your hostess. She wanted us to make a card with Summer and Vacation time in mind.

Well - as you might now - Summer in Sweden is either sun and heat or rain. I can tell you this last week we have really had our share of rain. We had a heat wave the week before and everyone was thinking - Oh - it's too hot. Well - now we all are wondering - where's the sun??
So for my card I decided to use Miss Anya from the set Rain, Snow, Shine.

I coloured her with my copics and made the "sun" behind her with copics as well. Chalked around the edges with pine cone. DPs from SU. Added the letters "SOMMAR" = Summer in Swedish from the stickers I received from sweet Serena. Added flowers and the "Hälsning" = Greeting in Swedish.

Hope you like it. Also - I hope that you have not missed the news regarding Belles'n Whistles.

I also want to take the time to congratulate the ladies that made it for the Guest DT spot for August and September:

Lilian of Color to Paper
Lynda of Lynda's Scrappy Place
Krumel of Kruemels Bastel Blog

Kram and hope that you find the time to join us for this challenge.

Friend

The challenge over at Papertake weekly is "My favourite things" - well for me it's always family and friends and then of course the Anki's Sweethearts ;-) especially when I see what you all have been creating using my illustrations. So of course - I had to colour one myself again - here you have Young Julia with purse - inspired as you know by my niece Julia (now 7 months old).

I coloured her with my copics and then using - just repeating myself these days it seems......the wonderful, wonderful DP from SU. I am so in love with them. The colours are just what I like - YUMMY ;-=)
Cut out some flowers with my punches and added Bella Baubles to the center. Added the Sentiment "Friend" from SU. Also - attached the Cupcake ribbon.
Here's what the inside of the card looks like:
And the back - loving the personalized stamp that I won over at Prickiform.
Hope you like it and I am so pleased with myself - finally got the chance to participate in several challenges again. Can't say it enough times - I'm loving vacation!!!

Thank you Miss

The challenge over at Cute Card Thursday is to create a thank you card for the teacher.
Well - I am lucky to have - as I hope you agree to - a perfect image for this - Teacher Rebecka from Anki's Sweethearts collection no 2.

I also must say - I am so happy that I got the time to play in this challenge again. I have sooo missed being part of this. So again - vacation is just wonderful. I inked up Rebecka with Memento on the new papers that Jeanette was so kind to send me. What a difference - the copics worked so much better on these papers than the one's I've had earlier. Thank you dear.
Decided to make a gate fold card. They are so easy and fun to do - don't you agree?
As you know by know - I am totally in love with my new SU DPs so - here you see that I've used them again. Also - I think it was Bev that once said that she was into the pink and green season - well dear - you've passed it on to me. Didn't know that it was that contagious ;-)
Chalked around the edges with pine cone and then added the heart that I've made out of flower tread/wire. Finished it off with some Bella Baubles.
Added the matching DPs to the inside of the card.
Hope you like it!
Also - just want to whisper in your ear - you've all seen this blinkie - right?

Well - just so that you don't miss all the fun - the release will be available on Friday July 17th. But make sure that you stay tuned - because as you know - Susana is such a sweetie - so she will be having a Blog Candy. Make sure that you don't miss that - details to be found on the store blog - July 14th.
Enjoy your Saturday.

Hugs to you

Hope you are having a great Friday. Here it has been raining, raining and raining. I guess that's what we get after the heat wave that we had earlier. So - the good thing is that I can spend time in my craft room without feeling guilty ;-)
Here's a card that I wanted to show you. I received this cute stamp from my Italian friend Serena. Thank you sweetie - loving it! It's from an Italian store that you can find HERE.
I coloured this little fairy with my copics and chalked around the edges with pine cone.
I wanted to keep the layout rather clean and simple - as I said in my earlier post - back to basics:-). Love the new DPs that I got from SU - they are to die for. Would love it if they one day would enter the Scandinavian market. Until then - I have my sweet friend Elizabeth providing me with the new stuff :-)
Added Cupcake ribbon and hearts. The hearts are made by me - using flowerwire - you know the thinner metallic one - that you can find in different colours. I added a Bella Baubles in the center of them as well as on the bottom of the card.
Well- I hope you like it and that you will have a wonderful Friday!
