Sketch challenge at RoP

Ladies - if you need a break from all the X-mas food and gatherings - then you should check out the 2nd challenge at RoP. It's a lovely sketch by Iris.
And yes - you have until Jan 4th to make your card - so I think you will be able to step into your craftroom and close the door for an hour or so...hihi...

You'll find my DT-card for the challenge here - the colours are not showing off as in real life, but hope you'll like it anyway. All papers, blings and stamp are from RoP. Sweet-little-one from SU (gift from the sweet Marlene) and the spacers from Marlene. Had to add some stickles of course...hihi...
Well - I will be offline for a couple of days now. Tomorrow is my hubby's b'day and then on X-mas Eve Santa will come and visit us (I hope that I've been a good girl...hihi.....)
So to all of you from all of the Bärgman-Margitin family - A Merry X-mas!

Award - Thank you Tara

I got this lovely award from Tara. Have you seen her cards - they are gorgeous!
Thank you so much Tara.
Well - I am busy with my last-minute X-mas cards and also to make something for my lovely Mom who turns 65 tomorrow. She is great! Would not know what we would have done without her. Can only hope that me and my sisters will have some of her in us.
As for the award - I should give it to 5 others and link to the one that I received it from (lovely Tara). Then you need to write down five things that you are addicted to - so here it goes:

1. stamps, cute papers and cardmaking of course (did not realize that I was an addict until this year...hihi....)
2. Singing with our son Isac (we are taping him now - he sounds sooo cute when he sings) and of course to stamp, draw and play hockey or football with him.
3. Dark chocolate - mmm.......I got the taste for it while I was living in the Chocolate country no 1 for 2.5 years - Switzerland! Sprüngli Champagne Truffles are to die for......
4. Switzerland - my second country close to my heart after Sweden. Just love it and all my nice friends there.
5. Visit my sweet friends all over the world. We do not see each other that often due to the distance, but when we do - it feels like yesterday - when we had tons of fun in Zürich.
PS. And of course I am addicted to my cute hubby! :-)

Anyway - I would like to pass on this award to the following sweet ladies for always leaving such nice comments and being a true inspiration to me:

1. Judy
2. Rach
3. Marlene
4. Heidi
5. Elizabeth

Well - now I better finish the box for my Mom.

Snowman soup & Rocky Road

Late posting, but I just wanted to share the snowman soup gift sets that I've been making for Isac's teachers at the daycare center. I got the original idea from the lovely Angie Juda and then I have seen Rach's creations (stunning).
There was only one slight problem to do this and that was to find the mini-marshmallows. Apparently all stores are out of stock...sigh.....they even said that the Swedish supplier is out of stock, hm....... has everyone been making the Snowman soup? Don't think so. I think that people are making Leila's Rocky Road (Leila is a very popular lady in Sweden these days).
The recipe for Rocky Road - for those of you that have access to mini marshmallows will follow at the end of this post:-) So I had to cut larger one's into small pieces...

The teachers will also receive a "Änglaspel" (Rotary Candleholder) with snowmen from Pluto Products. That's what's in the little boxes.

I will wrap all of this in cellophane and add a tag for each teacher. You see the decorated tags below. The true colours are not really showing on these pics due to that it's so late and dark here now, but....
These WoJ cuties can be purchased at Roses on Paper or from WoJ directly.
And for those of you that managed to read this far - here's the recipe for Leila's Rocky Road.
Enjoy and remember to have fun making it (tasting is allowed ;-)
Kram - Anki

Rocky Road (12 bars)
600 g dark quality chocolate 70%
2 bags of "dumlekola" (Swedish toffee)
2 handfuls of mini marshmallows
3 dl of salted peanuts
1 dl of peeled pistage nuts

Melt the chocolate
Mix all ingredients together
Poor the mix in a baking pan (approx 3 cm thick layer).
Put the mix in the fridge.
When the cake is stiff - cut it into 12 bars.

Quick post

Hello ladies! I know that you all are so busy with the final X-mas preparations. So am I.
I am not sure when I will be able to finish of my X-mas cards. I have now switched into the "fast and simple last minute X-mas cards creations"....sigh... Can anyone send me additional days so that I can catch up with all the things that need to be done? :-)

Work is as you know - crazy and now I need to catch up with the things that I could not handle during last week (when I was ill..) Can not tell you how much I am looking fwd to Friday - then I go on X-mas break! I will be one tired, but one happy lady.

Well - wanted to show you one of the "fast-last-minute-cards" above. I am making a lot of snowmen cards now - they are so fun and fast to colour. The stamps are from the WoJ collection that you can order either from WoJ directly or from Roses on Paper. The sentiment "from the heart" is from SU. Highlights with stickles and white gel pen as always.

I also want to share a stunning card that I received from the sweet Tammi. I am looking at it and thinking - WOW - that's how my X-mas cards should look like. I guess I will have to start early next year ;-) Tammi - thank you so much for your friendship and for the lovely images included in the card. The card is just stunning my friend!
Tons of hugs to you all!

A Fairy Merry X-mas

to all my sweet blogfriends all over the globe! Can only tell you how wonderful you have made this year for me. It's so nice to always read your comments and to follow your creativity and what goes on in your lives. It is truly amazing how many talented women there are out there! Together I think we really could make the world a better place!
As some of you know - I have been ill for some days after I tried to cure myself (I had a terrible cough and still have) with a medicine (that you do not need a prescr. for). Who would know that I would belong to those who react with severe chest and stomach pain + your head feels like it's going into pieces.....sigh...... Well - now I am slowly coming back even though I do not feel like I have 100% energy. Luckily it's only 1 week more in the office and then I go on X-mas break - HURRAY!

I managed to make 2 cards with the cute fairy-line - available at Susana's. They are so useful -and you can use them for every season - at least that's what I think, since I decided to use the Sassafrass for 2 of my X-mas cards. I even think that I was very funny with the greeting on one of them...hihi....... Well - I do not know if it's the medicine going out of my body...hihi....

I do hope you like them. Don't forget to enter Susana's and Suzanne's candy as well - ending Dec 14th. You'll find the links on my side-bar.

Tons of hugs and do not stress to much before X-mas. It will come anyway and it's not all the food, gifts and X-mas decorations that matters. The most important thing is that we get to share these lovely days with our family and friends.
Anki
Card ingredients:
Stamp: Sassafrass stamped on aquarelle paper
Colours: SU Markers and aquarelle brush, highlighs with stickles and white gel pen
Cardstock and DPs from SU and local shop Pysselakuten
Ribbon: Burgundy and Choc Chip from SU
Dew drops from stash and the cute little heart from my dear friend Marlene
Text "From the heart" - from SU - received from the lovely - Marlene

Shoes for X-mas - anyone??

The card that I finished late this evening is a card for this weeks Friday Sketchers challenge - using the sketch provided by the talented Claudia. I did move around parts of the sketch and decided to go with my scallop nesties.

The stamp that I decided to use is a Rubber Romance stamp from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design called Vivian. I coloured the image with my SU markers and aqua painter. I added some flower soft around the scallop edges. The colours do not come out correct on the photo, but I hope you'll like it anyaway.
Then I thought I would be clever and come up with a X-mas text to go with the shoes, hm.....Try to use your imagination at this late hour - what can I say - that's why the end result is what it is..hihi......

I hope that you all also have seen that I have posted the blog candy that's running. If not - check out Suzanne's blog and the second chance to win by Susana's store . Good luck everyone!

Also - don't forget to pop by the rest of the DTs blogs to get some more inspiration:

Hearts

This weeks challenge at Cute Card Thursday is Hearts and finally I had some time left to actually enter one of the challenges (been so busy with no crafting time at all these last days).
I decided to go for the cute WoJ stamp Melinda holding heart - isn't she cute.
The pic turned out too dark, but I hope you see all the hearts anyway.

I am so pleased that I managed to post 2 cards today. This one and my first DT card for Roses on Paper.

Now it's time for me to go to bed. Need to get rid of that terrible cough I have.
Looking fwd to hear from you ladies.

I coloured the new and very cute Sarah Kay image "First Kiss" with my SU markers and then highlights with stickles and white gel pen. I hope you can see, because it's so dark here these evenings, so I could not get a proper shot without having the flash hit against the stickles and
other blings! (Need to have my Sis Cathrine to give me a proper photo-lesson this X-mas).

Hope you'll like it.

Happy Holidays

It's time to start making my X-mas cards - well - a little bit late - don't you think so ;-)
What do you do when you are spending to much time in the office - leaving to little time to craft, hm.....?? Purchase printed X-mas cards for 1 SEK each??? Nope - I have not given up yet!

So here's a quick posting of 2 of the cards I managed to finish yesterday night (yes - night - not evening because I was stuck in the office then.....).

The first one is the cute little penguin with the ice-cream. He is coloured with SU markers and my aqua painter. You can probably not read the text in the red circle behind him - but it is a lot of Swedish X-mas words. I cut him and the other circle out with my nesties - just love them! Flowers are some that I received from the generous Lim (together with this image) and metal spacers from the sweet Marlene. I added some flower soft as snow - hope you can tell.
DPs from our local shop Pysselakuten. Oh- almost forgot - some stickles to the ice-cream and the cherry!

The second one is another of the images sent to me by Lim - den lilla isbjörnen (there you go - a little Swedish lesson ;-). Here I decided not to add so many layers of DPs, since I thought it created a nice little scene all by itself.

I added some snowflakes (from my new punch purchased at Pysselakuten) and dew drops and a red ribbon. Sentiment stamp from SU.

This card turned out very bright - so it does not really show the real colours, but anyway (I normally complain that it get's too dark so....hihi.....)

I am so looking fwd to this weekend and hope to get out of the office early tomorrow. We have plans to visit the amusement park in Gothenburg called Liseberg. Normally they are only open during Spring-Fall, but they are open now before X-mas. They have created a wonderful Winter scene with millions of spruce garlands. So take a look at their web-site.

X-mas shopping voucher

My youngest sister Cathrine does not know what she wants for X-mas. Therefore I decided to make a gift voucher for shopping to her. Hope she does not read this post...hihi....
The stamp Melaine is from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design. I thought she suited well, since she almost look like my youngest Sis (well - Cathrine normally do not wear a hat, but for the rest...).

I stamped her on aquarelle paper and coloured with my SU markers. Highlights with white gel pen and stickles. The Cardstock is Kiwi from SU, DP from my local shop Pysselakuten. Metal handbag charm from the sweet Marlene. Ribbon from stash. I added some blings and stickles to the DP as well. Ticket is an altered one from the ones sent to me with the PIF from the loveley Judy.

The text that will go inside is not yet ready, but it will most likely say something like:
"This gift voucher is valid for shopping with your 3 sisters (til you drop) for an amount of xx SEK."

Well I hope you like it. Let me now and don't forget to check out Susana's shop.

My other secret

God Morning Ladies!

So - just a quick note to tell you my other secret that have made me walking on clouds for some time. I have been offered a guest DT position with Susana's Custom Art and Card design.

Susana is another sweet lady in this cardmaking business. Her service is perfect and she always give you that personal touch that we all love. For those of you that live outside of US (like I do) - she do ship International - but drop her an email before placing your order so that she can give you the correct information regarding freight.

She have for example a very cute line of faeires and they are litterly flying out of the window from her shop. However - new ones keep on coming in - so don't hesitate - go and visit her shop today and grab some before they are gone :-))

Susana - thank you for giving me this opportunity. I am so excited and looking fwd to work with you.

A picture for little Julia

Remember that I became an Auntie again this week. Well - have seen her for the first time today and she is just so cute! Tons of dark hair and very petite. So of course I needed to make something for her (well - there will be a card eventually), but I decided to make a picture for her to hang in her room.
So I draw this little girl with the pink purse and added some stickles and flowers.
The picture is not the best one, since the flash bounced against the glass - but I do hope you see it anyway.
Hope you've had a great weekend!

Finally I can tell you a secret

and I have wanted to tell you for some time now, but of course I had to keep it a secret. Now here it goes: The lovely and kind Summer has asked me to be part of her DT team for Roses on Paper!

Guess if I am one happy lady. This is my first DT assignment and I do hope that I will be able to make her proud. I do hope that another dream will come true as well someday - that would to meet up with lovely Summer and her family in Hawaii (haven't you all always dreamt of going there?? Well - I have and I know that my parents have as well - so maybe one day I'll make their dream and mine come true).

If you visit the lovely Summer's web-site you can read about the rest of the DT team. It's a very nice group of ladies all over the world, so make sure that you visit their blogs for some inspiration.

Also make sure that you pay her on-line shop a visit as well. Many nice things there and you know - X-mas is soon here and I have heard from Santa himself that you all have been very nice ladies this year - meaning that you can buy some gifts, wrap them and then erase in your memory what you did until X-mas...hihi.....

I do also hope that I will be able to share another secret with you within short - so stay tuned...hihi...

I am an aunt again!

I have not been able to finish off some cards to show for you this week (since work has been taking up to much of my time). However - I needed to share these great news with you. My sister Louise (we are 4 sisters) gave birth today to a cute little girl this afternoon. My sister and her husband Fredrik are of course very excited, since this is their first one, but we are also very excited.

Isac thinks that we should buy a blue little motorbike and give to his new cousin ;-) We'll see what we will find - but I better finish of something nice for her before she get's home.

Blog award

I have not been able to post anything this weekend due to that we have been in Gothenburg and today we had our neighbours in for coffee. However - my sweet friend (I am so happy that I found you and I am sure that we will meet someday in real life) Marlene have giving me this award. I wanted to send it to all my visitors, but the rules are as follows:

Pick 5 bloggers that you consider as your best blogging buddies and deserves this award for their contribution towards the blogging community, no matter what language.
State the name of the author of each blog as well as a link to each one’s blogs.
Each blogger (upon acceptance) of this award should do a post and show the award on their blog and put the name and link to the blog that has given her/him the award.
Link to
DOING LIFE’s blog, so everyone will know the origin of this award.

So I can't pass it back to Marlene - even though I would like to of course. The 5 blog-buddies that I send it to then:

1. Lim - for being so generous, sweet and inspirational
2. Aija - for always being so supportive and what great cards she makes. Wow!!!

5. Summer - for making me extremly happy. Will be looking fwd to the day when we can
come and visit you in Hawaii.

For Livia

This week has been just crazy. First I was ill and then I have to work crazy hours just to catch up. Well -I should not complain. Luckily my hubby takes care of the household and Isac while I am working my b... off.

I had promised my colleague that I would make a card for the Christening of a little Livia. I decided to go for pink and brown (cardstock and DPs from SU).
The colours are not really showing off on the pic that well - due to that it's pitch black here (Well - it has started to snow - for the first time - so I am hoping it will stay that way so Isac get's to play in the snow this year (last year was really a crappy winter)).
Anyway - I coloured my new cute WoJ stamp with my SU markers on aquarelle paper with my aquarelle brush of course. Added some pink and green stickles and highlights with white gel pen. Charm and spacers from the lovely and talented Marlene - Thank you sweetie. I also needed to use my new nestabilities - how in earth could I live without them before??? ;-))

This weeks challenge at A Spoon Full of Sugar is Blooming Marvelous. I discovered that I only needed floral paper and some flowers to enter - so luckily that was what I already had mounted...hihi.....

Well - need to go to bed now so that I am ready for the last day at work for this week.

X-mas girl on a box

Hej!
I have not been able to visit your blogs, since I have been in bed with fever and a soar throat. It has been really boring - not being able to do anything. Well - this afternoon I felt so much better, so I decided to have a go at last weeks challenge at Cute Card Thursday - Red and Green. I decided to make a box for a little girl (X-mas pressie to go inside - but that's a secrete of course ;-) with my Top Score multiboard (purchased in our local shop Pysselakuten).

Cardstock and DPs from our local shop, ribbons from stash and the image is made by me (yepp - needed to do something while I was hallucinating in bed and took my sketch book out ;-)) and coloured with SU markers, highlighted with stickles and white gel pen. I got inspired from one of my very old child books - the Riding Hood Red. Well - here she became a X-mas girl wishing Merry X-mas with her cute companion the mouse Felix.

Looking fwd to hear your comments ladies.

Mom's little helper and the recipe for Lucia buns

Well - today it has been baking day here in the house. We have been baking (read Isac and I)
from 9-20 - well - Isac helped from time to time of
course ;-))
He just loves to bake and to be able to assist. So of course it takes a little bit longer than normal, but that doesn't matter.

We have been baking lucia buns (with and without saffron), bread (4 different kinds), cakes and gingerbread biscuits. So guess if my feet are aching from standing all day long...
Anyway - here are some pics + the recipe of my Lucia buns if you dare to have a go.

Kramisar
Anki

The recipe for Lucia buns (approx 30)

* 175 g butter
* 5 dl of milk
* 50 g yeast
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 3/4 - 2 dl of sugar
* 1 g saffron (if you like - I made one with and one without)
* 1 egg
* 1 - 1/2 dl of raisins
* approx 15 dl of wheat flour

Melt the butter and mix with the milk. Heat the butter- and milkmix to 37C.
Dissolve the yeast in some of the butter- & milkmix.
Poor in the rest of the butter- & milkmix, salt, sugar, saffron (if you want), egg and raisins.
Blend well.
Add the flour - leave some until it's time for you to bake the buns.
Blend well.
Let the dough rise for 30 minutes.
Knead the dough and divide it into 30 small rolls.
To make the lucia buns you roll the dough to small long buns, then turn the sides towards the middle - the bun should look like a S.
Add raisins in each end - almost like an eye.
Let the buns rise for 30 minutes.
Paint the buns with a whipped egg. (don't know if that's the right English expression, but....)
Bake the buns in the middle of the oven at 225-250C for 5-10 minutes.
Good luck!

Snowman with family + PIF

Well, I have been PIF-ed by Judy. I have seen PIF before, but could not remember what it stands for. Luckily Judy had it all explained on her blog. It stands for Pass it Forward. The first 3 people to comment on this post will receive some stamped images from me. Then these 3 have to do the same on their blog. Not too much work - right? ;-))
Leave me a comment on the card above and let me know if there are any images that you would prefer.
Kramar - Anki
PS. the flash made the stickles to look a little brighter than they actually are.

Susana's stamps

I found a new on-line web-shop called Susana's Custom Art and Card Design
or actually - Susana found my blog and after that I of course had to check her web-shop for nice new things. Of course I had to order some - since I could not resist and today the stamps arrived! They just look great and I hope to be able to share more of them the coming weeks.
Susana is not only a very customer service-oriented person - she is also sooo sweet and generous. It feels like I have known her for a very long time and in fact - it's only a few weeks. When she found out that it was my b'day Nov 4th - what did she do - well - she enclosed a secrete package for me together with my order - some lovely stamps and also the copic glitter pen. I love, love, love them all! THANK YOU SUSANA!
Anyway - I hope you all can tell how excited I was to receive the package with my order and b'day present this afternoon (returning home from a long day in the office). So of course I needed to make a quick card with one of the stamps. This is the result.
Cardstock, DP, buttons and dew drops from our local shop Pysselakuten. The DP with the Swedish X-mas words on it is from a shop in Gothenburg (don't know which one, since my sister-in-law gave that to me on my b'day). The lace is from our local bookstore. The text snow is made with the SU stamp wheel. The stars are from QK dies and I had to layer one of them with the Frost Lace stickles. The cute snowman is from Susana's and coloured with SU markers and aquarelle brush. Highlights with stickles and white gel pen.
The lovely metal snowflake - is one of the goodies that Marlene sent me for my b'day. Feels like I am going to celebrate many days this year...hihi...
As always it is difficult at this time to take photos that are not too dark - but I think this one is ok despite that.
Hope you'll like it and don't forget to check out Susana's web-shop. For international orders - please email her first so that you get the right freight cost.
Kramisar and this one is to Susana - Du är så otroligt vänlig och generös!

X-mas girl

Well - this weeks challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenges is spots and dots.
So I am entering this card - and hopefully the dew drops counts as spots or dots ;-))

Cardstock, DPs and snowflakes purchased in our local shop Pysselakuten.
The cute Rudolph are from Stampin Up.

Then I have used my new nestabilites from Spellbinders - I just love them! So easy to use and love how easy it is also to do the embossing. I am not sure how I survived earlier without them. Thank you Marlene for giving me the tip of were to buy them!

The image is the one Tammi was so kind to send me - thank you again Tammi. I have coloured her with SU markers and highlights with stickles and white gel pen. I am sorry about the fact that the flash actually is reflected in the photo. I think it was because the DPs had some shimmer to them.

Have a nice evening everyone!

Christmas carols

After a hard and long day at work I need to at least share something that put's a smile on my face - and that's these cute boys singing Christmas carols - Aren't they adorable? I am so happy that I decided to purchase this one from Sweet'n Sassy http://sweetnsassystamps.biz/shop/.
It was a real pleasure to colour (of course with my SU markers and aquarelle brush). DP and cardstock, ribbon, snowflakes and dew drops purchased at our local shop Pysselakuten.

Highlighted with stickles and white gel pen. I did not want to use too many layers, since I really loved the DP with the X-mas trees.
Another thing that really made me happy was a lovely card sent from Marlene together with some cardmaking goodies as a late b'day pressie. Thank you soo much Marlene http://mar1ene.wordpress.com/! You really made my day!

A third thing that made me happy was that this weeks challenge at Sweet'n Sassy Blog was Snowflakes http://sweetnsassystamps.blogspot.com/ - so I am entering this.

Father's Day

Hope that you've had a great weekend everyone. Today we are celebrating Father's Day in Sweden, so of course I had to make a box for my Dad at the Vänerscrap yesterday. See the pic above.
I made one in two different blue colours - using my cardstock from SU. DP from SU and of course some stickles ;-). Then I coloured the lovely and fun image that Tammi was so kind to send to me together with her lovely card - see below.
We added a travel and car lottery ticket in the box and he actually won - nothing big - just a new lottery ticket - so we hope his luck continues. Of course we also gave him a nice new outfit - a shirt and a slipover (we = me and my 3 sisters with families).
I will post some of my other creations from the Vänerscrap later. It was as always very well organized by Liza and her family. So fun to be able just to focus on making new cards - chatting with all other creative ladies and to get inspired by others.
