Caroline - the little nurse

Today we are celebrating Mother's Day here in Sweden - so I will not be able to check in on your blogs until late tonight. We are having a great weather at the moment - sunny and extremly warm. Well - that's how it usually is the week before the kids go on summer break.

Just wanted to share another graduation card for you - for a girl named Caroline. She will graduate from Upper Secondary School - with health care as her major.

I decided to colour Cathrine the Vet for this graduation card. Added the lyrics as well as the little graduation cap in the corner.

Her name was cut out with QK Eliza. It was hard to make it fit the 6x6 card - but I managed DPs from Basic Grey and of course I got to use my nesties for the different layers.

Kram and have a wonderful day - now I am going outdoors to hopefully have my breakfast served - after all - it's only Mother's Day one day a year :-)

Another graduation card

Well - hope you will not be bored with me posting all the graduation cards that I've been making for the girls and boys who takes "Studenten" (graduate from Upper Secondary School).

This time it's for a girl named Linda. Linda likes to take a lot of photos - so I decided to make a funky camera for my card. Cut out the different layers with my nesties and used 3d dots to build the camera lens up. DP from Basic Grey Lime Rickey.
Coloured the Groovy Angel from SCACD with my copics. Made a little graduation cap to go on her cute little head. Added the image to the center - to make it look like Linda was the camera object.

Cut out her name with QK Eliza. Added flowers in the Swedish colours Blue and Yellow.
And some bling of course.

Hope you are having a wonderful Saturday.

Time to graduate

Graduation time is almost here. In Sweden most students graduate early June.
I have been asked to make some cards for this special day - so you will see plenty of them
coming ;-))

Here's one that I would like to share. It's for a young man named Fredrik. He's graduating from the vehicle program - hence the little Hänglar boy with the car ;-)

I coloured him with my copics. Cut out the name with my Revolution (alphabet Eliza)
DP from Basic Grey. Did not want to put on too many things - since it's for a young guy - so
I only added the Graduation cap (drawn by me) and the lyrics to the Student song - that we will hear everywhere these days. And then I added a few roses.

It does not feel that long ago, since I graduated myself....cough.....cough... ;-)

Well - hope you will have a great Friday and I will be back with more graduation cards.

Forever Friends

First of all - thank you Suzanne for making me bringing out my SU markers again (that I do love so much). The reason is that this TIOT is all about watercolouring - using water colours, SU markers, distress inks.....well - anything that goes with water ;-)

When I first got my SU markers from my sweet friend Elizabeth in Chicago - I was not sure if I was going to like them. You see - I started colouring with my regular aquarelle colours (that I used for paintings earlier) when I started with cardmaking (fall-07). Then Elizabeth told me that I could get the aquarelle touch using the SU markers and water. Well - she was right and from then on I just could not live without them.
Then I needed of course to try copics - as you have seen in my previous postings for some months now ;-) I guess - a girl can't have enough colouring options - it's like make-up - you need to try the latest product on the market - right???

Anyway - back to this weeks TIOT. I decided to make a folder card this time. So I got my pink cardstock out and the DPs from Basic Grey Sugar collection. Chalked around the edges with pine cone ink. I coloured the brand new "Nuts for you" image from the VC collection with my SU markers and aqua paint brush. Burnt the edges - well- it still smells like fire indoors ;-))
Added her on 3d dots on the different DP layers. Glued her to the folder card - note - not the whole part.
The three hearts are from SU. Stamped them with Memento Ink - Rich Cocoa - as well as the Susanament "Forever Friends". Added Prima roses and Bella Baubles.
Here's a picture of the inside and from the side- note the velcro on the lower part. One piece is also behind the image. This makes it easy to open and close the folder card - almost like a little purse.

Hope you would like to play along. If so - please upload your card to SCS or PCP using the keyword "TIOT20".

Happy Tuesday everyone and to my cousin Helené in Vienna - Happy Birthday sweetie!

Sweet little one

My order arrived safe and very fast from Roses on Paper. Sometimes I believe that Hawaii is the city next to where I live - because normally the mails from Summer arrives faster than a local one within Sweden *lol*. Do you have a private RoP Charter Summer???

I knew I needed to have Flutter Anya - isn't she adorable??

Coloured her with my copics. Used the DPs from Basic Grey Sugar. Cut out the paper flowers with my punches, chalked the edges with pine cone and added the center bling from Bling it.
Added some shimmerz on her wings and stickles to her little top.
The little charm is from my stash - attached with scrapperfloss to the Basic Grey Brad.
Sentiment from SU.
Hope your week has started well.

Thinking of you

Hope you all are enjoying the long weekend. We had 4 days off!!! Wonderful!
Monday tomorrow - so back to work and reality land - and not much craft time left...sniff....
Well - I am glad that I got to colour some images today and to make this card for the
Copic Create Challenge - Blonde Hair. This weeks price is sponsored by Magnolia-licious.

I thought it would be a good idea to practise more with my copics - still in need of more colours as always of course ;-)). Decided to colour Emilia with heart from Anki's Sweethearts.
Got to use my new lovely DPs from Basic Grey "Eva".
Added ribbon from the Doodlebug Cupcake collection. Cut out the flowers with my punches - chalked around the edges with pine cone and added spacers from my sweet friend Marlene.

Sentiment from Susanaments. I added some dew drops for blings and used shimmerz on the heart and stickles on her shirt.

I got to take this picture outdoors tonight - can you tell - it's not dark here at 21.00 anymore!!!

Thank you Marlene!

We just got home from our tour to the Southern part of Sweden and
there was this package for Isac waiting.
Well - it was from my sweet blog-friend Marlene (hope to meet you in real life soon sweetie).

Here's the very cute card she made for him with the image Isac with skateboard.

And then - this little Mini Cooper waiting for him - can you tell that he is pleased ;-))
Marlene - he also loved the plastic wrapping - he is popping all the plastic baubles as I am writing this....hihi........

Kram and thank you sweetie!

Fun project for a b'day

My sweet neighbour asked me if I could make a b'day card for her brother
that turns 40 this weekend. Of course I could. I asked her what he likes and she said -
besides his family - he loves his little red cottage/summer house.
Well - I first looked through all my stamps - but no house.
I then thought of drawing one myself, but no.....too boring.
Then I got this idea - why not build a house of paper. I asked my sweet DT colleagues at RoP
if they had any links to any nice templates. While they were searching - I found one myself (but now I have misplaced the link.....sigh)
I cut out the template on white cardboard. Attached DP from SU and glued all the sides together. Added black cardstock as the roof. Cut out the windows and the door from the template and coloured them with my copics.
I stamped Charlie Bond from WoJ and coloured him with my copics. I think he is just perfect. Then I decided to make a little fireplace out of matches (my hubby was upstairs and suddenly he shouted - have you burnt something?? I told him to relax - I am just burning matches to make a fireplace for a card ;-))) Crafting has no limits - right??? *lol*
Cut my cardsock in the regular 6" x 6" size. Added some DPs from SU as the lawn and flowers. Glued the house to it and then the "fireplace". The burnt ends from the matches became the charcoal.
Stamped over the blue DP with my blue ink - using my scallop circle to get the cloud effect (don't know if you can tell). Added the sentiment from Aud Design - saying Happy B'day i Swedish. Made a birch - needed a tree to get the scene more realistic ;-).
Finally I added Charlie to the card to give a toast for Stefan who turns 40 (the name is cut out with QK Eliza and added to the roof).
What do you think? I must say - it was a lot of fun to create.
Kramis - Anki
PS. The fireplace is there to give him a hint on what he is getting as a b'day gift - can't reveal it here of course - but I guess you all get the clue....

Engagement card

My sister Pernilla's brother-in-law got engaged early May in Florida.
She wanted me to make an engagement card for the lucky couple - and of course I said yes.
Also - I would like to say congratulations to Pernilla and her hubby Lars - because today is their wedding day (well - don't want to say how many years they have been married now - but it's a long time. Another funny thing is that they also got engaged years ago in Florida - so I guess that Lars little brother thought it would be perfect for him as well ;-)

I went through my stamp inventory and found this couple from my Hänglar and Stänglar stash. They had not seen ink since last year...(I can hear some of you go: WHAT??? - but since they are easy to get hold on here in Sweden - well - then they are not that special - don't get me wrong - but it's always that you want to have the things you can not get hold of - right??)

I used the DPs from Inkido - the "love collection" - a lot of warm words - like Kärlek = Love,
Kyssar = Kisses, Vänskap = Friendship etc. I also added one layer of pink DP from SU.
Chalked all the edges with pine cone.
Cut out the three hearts with my SU punch. Added flowers, spacers, pearl hearts (on the green flowerwire), Bella baubles and then stickles on their jackets. Smooch on the heart - to give it more a metallic look (does not really show here on the photo). Highlights with white gel pen. Cut out their initial's with my QK alphabet - Eliza.

I even made the inside of the card this time. Not as lovely as my blog-friends Rach, Marlene, Judy and Iris does - but.... Used the left overs from the DP and cut out the hearts again with my SU punch. And I did put a handmade sign on the back - but of course I forgot to take a picture of the back of the card. You can't remember everything - can you?? *lol*

And now we are going to have a 4 day long weekend - yeah!!! So happy when we have holidays and a bridge day off from work.

Kramis - Anki

PS. Sorry for the bright photos - but I could not get a perfect light....)

My Sweet Friend

I have been dying to enter some challenges, but have not had the time to do so.

When the lovely Summer set from WoJ arrived this week - well - I knew - I better find some time to colour these cuties. So I finally got to enter a WoJ Challenge again. The theme this time is Friend.

I coloured this little cutie with my copics. Added some frosted lace stickles and lime green stickles. Stamped the strawberries (also from the Summer kit). Attached them and some scrapper floss to attach the sentiment to (also form the Summer kit).

All the DPs are from SU. Chalked around the edges with pine cone and just wanted this card to be very simple - only some layers of DPs and the sentiment so that the little girl can be in the center. Isn't she cute??? Oh - and I did add some drew drops as well.

Well - looking fwd to share some more cards with these cuties soon.

Kram - Anki

Dream Big

This week we are supposed to use a lot of flowers over at Susana's Store blog. Well - that's easy right - ladies? We all love flowers - at least if I go around and visit your blogs - then I am sure to find at least one flower on each and one of your cards - right?? :-)

I decided to colour my brand new sweet Belle with my copics- from the Victoria Case collection - exclusive for SCACD. I wanted her little stage to become full of flowers - but then - if I picked too many - then her cute ballerina shoes would not show ;-))

So I just added a few - to look like she just had received them on stage after her little dance performance. All the flowers are from my sweet friend Tara in Canada - thank you sweetie.
(They were in the suprise package she sent me as a thank you for helping her sort out her Magnolia order).

Used the Laura Ashley DP - Contemporary - since they contains a lot of flowers in different soft colours. Chalked around all the edges with pine cone.
Added the Cupcake ribbon and the Susanament "Dream big" - since I think little Belle is dreaming about performing her little dance in front of a large audience one of these days....
Oh - and yes - I added some shimmerz on her little top as well.
Also one other thing - I guess you already have noticed it - but I really have a thing for stamping the images these days with Memento Rich Cocoa. I think it gives the images a more soft look - or what do you think?
Hope that you would like to join us for this weeks TIOT and hope to see your projects soon.
Upload your projects with keyword "TIOT19" on SCS or PCP.
Kramis and make sure to see what the rest of the DTs have been up to.

One for the boys

That's what our lovely DT-friend Peta set up as the next challenge for us over at RoP.
Well - being a Mom to a cute little son - this is easy - right ;-) Well- nope - since Peta did
not want any cute embellies, flowers etc on the card.

Hm.......well - luckily I have some wonderful stamps with cute little boys (I know that people keep on asking for more images of men and boys - but then in the end - it's the cute little girl stamps that sells. I guess it's because of the fact that we want to put as much flowers, embellies etc on the cards - right - or???)
So I coloured little Edwin with my copics - using more brighter Summer colours (Well - I do hope that the sweet owner of RoP - Summer also loves them...hihi.....sorry - could not help myself...)
Used my DPs from Basic Grey and SU. Chalked around the edges with pine cone. Wanted several layers as you can see. Added buttons from stash and instead of thread - I used the metallic green flowerthread that I purchased in our local flowershop.

Then I added the little train, suitcase, tickets and railroad crossing - that I had received from Lim. So now it could be used for a boy who likes to play with trains or for someone leaving for a long journey.
Hope you like it and please note - no blings, no stickles, no flowers..... ;-)
Sorry also for the bad pics - but the card was finished late yesterday - so not the best time
to take pics...
Kramis and pop over to our challenge and join in.

I just made 10 000 visitors!

So of course this is something to celebrate.
We've had a wonderful day outdoors today. We visited a farmer colleague - close to where we live. They have an "open house" today and tomorrow.

Isac just loved it. He got to sit in several tractors - pretending that they were his of course. Well - that smile tells it all - right?? :-)
He got to see cows, pigs, hens, rabbits, goats.......well the list can go on.
The rest of the day we spent out in our own garden and finished it with a BBQ.
So here are also some pics from the flowers we have in our garden at the moment - and the first one is of course from one of our apple trees.

Isac went to "dreamland" rather quick after this day and we are getting ready for the Eurovision Song Contest.
So - have a great Saturday and I will be back tomorrow with some candy to celebrate the
10 000 mark!

Do the Victoria Case hop

Finally it's Friday and we get the chance to actually display the new stampline - exclusive for SCACD by Victoria Case.

I got to display the cute little girl - the stamp is called Follow your heart - and of course Susana has created some matching sentiments - called Susanaments ;-). These will of course also work on any other project you are doing. So remember to check them out as well.

I coloured her with my copics and added shimmerz and smooch to her shirt. Her shirt reminded me so much of the folklore shirts that we used to wear as kids and that's why I wanted it to be white.

Cut her out and added her on 3d dots over all the different layers of DP from Laura Ashley.
Added some pearl hearts from my stash, flowerthread in green (close to lime green).
Ribbon from SU. Flowers from stach as well as the spacers.
Heart charm and Susanament from SCACD.

So if you are ready and want to see all the stamps - join us for the blog hop. If you want to start from the beginning - you pop over to Suzanne's site. However you can do the full blog starting from here. The next stop is then Susan's site .
Looking fwd to read your comments about the new VC line.

They key to my heart

This week Suzanne challenged us to make a card using her sketch below.
A sketch that we could interpret in any way we wanted, BUT the tricky part was to make a card that is not square or rectangle shaped.
Well - piece of cake when you have the nesties - right...hihi....
So I cut out my card shape using my scalloped nestie and then the second layer with my circle one. The third one - using my DP from SU - cut out with an even smaller circle and then finally - the image with an even smaller nestie. The nesties are just perfect to make layers - don't you think??
I coloured my image (stamped her first with my Memento Rich Cocoa ink)- Emilia with heart - with my copics. Added some white gel pen for highlight. It just hit me - Emilia with heart was actually released - together with the rest of the first edition of Anki's Sweethearts - on Valentine's Day this year ;-)). Backflash - that put a smile on my face ;-)
Then I added a pink SU ribbon (after punching a hole with my SU punch of course).
Attached the cute roses that I purchased in our local craft shop - Pysselakuten.
I found some flowerwires/thread at our local flowershop - in pink. Perfect to attach charms with or make some of your own embellies. I attached the little key charm with this wire.
I added some baubles around the scallop circle - just as extra bling ;-)
Hope you like it and want to participate for this week's TIOT. Please upload your project/card on SCS or PCP using the keyword "TIOT18".
Kram - and don't forget to check out the rest of the DTs cards.

Thank you Tara

Just wanted to show you what arrived in our mailbox and really made my day. We have been ill - seems like we have a stomach bug going around - so we've been down - one, by one....
Anyway - back to this lovely card that arrived from my sweet blog-friend Tara.
If you have not seen her stunning cards before - please make sure that you visit her blog. She is so talented and her playlist on her site is just my taste ;-))

She sent me this stunning card together with a lot of goodies - just as a thank you for me helping her sort out some ordering issues with Magnolia (she finally go her order after a few phone calls from me).
Her friend had also made this very cute and just wonderful little bee charm. Isac wanted him right away and of course I could not say no - even if I could see him hanging on my bag.

Well - hope you all are having a great Sunday and we are trying to get the whole family up and running again :-)

You make me smile

We had a Monochrome challenge at the Scrapevent. I decided to go for green - not the colour that I use the most, but.....I think it turned out rather cool or what do you think?
Picked up my Sweet little Rockstar Anya from RoP. Coloured her with my copics - all in green shades. Cut her out with my nesties. Added some prima flowers and white roses.
Must say that I wouldn't have made the greens to match that well if I hadn't had the SU DPs that I got from my sweet friend Elizabeth. They are sooo great - always matching perfectly as well as the ribbon.
The sentiment is from my sweet Norwegian friend - Aud's Design.
And yes - needed to have some green stickles - since she is a rockstar - right ;-))
Oh - almost forgot - added some dew drops as well.
Also - make sure that you check out the news that Summer has ready for you as well as the returning guest program.
Hope you will have a wonderful weekend.

Felicia and Crabby

We've had some rain these couple of last days - and it's been really windy. However - they are saying that it will be sunny and warm during the weekend and that's something that I am longing for. I am soo looking fwd to just relax, fix a few things around the house and finally send off those final images for the next release of Anki's Sweethearts. Yes - they will be a second release - so stay tuned ;-))

I wanted to show you a small card that I made during the scrapevent featuring Felicia and Crabby. DPs from SU. Cut out the scallop boarder with my nesties as well as Felicia. Coloured her with my copics - starting to really enjoy those. Added one of my glazed brads and of course a heart charm. Don't know why - but I just love hearts. A friend of mine and I really got into the heart period a couple of years ago, but we had to stop talking about it - because people started to bring us only gifts with either hearts on or heart shaped ones. Love it, but it should be delicate ones - so if you get too many - then you don't enjoy it as much - if you know what I mean.

Well - hope you all will have a wonderful Friday.

Almost going blue

Just a very short post from me today.

Those of you that know me well know that blue is not my colour. I think it looks great on others, but on me - nope.....I guess that's why I normally don't do any blue cards either.
Well - here's a card almost in blue...hihi......that I made just for fun.

Coloured the cute litte baby with my copics. I now know that it's from Marianne Design (Dutch company) - thank you Renata for refreshing my memory.
DPs from SU - must say that I love those. The image was sent to me by one of my lovely blog-friends - Renata. Sentiment from my sweet friend Aud in Norway and her own design - Aud's design. Ribbon from SU.

Easy and superquick to make.

And we are one day closer to the weekend ;-)

WoJ Gift bag

Must say that I still love making the gift bags that I found ages ago on Angie Juda's site. They are so fun and easy to make and you can add whatever you want. Love it!.
The SU papers are perfect for this of course - since they have a matching colour on both sides of the DP. Keep on praying that SU will decide to enter the Scandinavian market;-))

I stamped Melinda hugging heart from WoJ on my aquarelle paper. Coloured her with my SU markers and aqua paint brush. Added some stickles to the heart, shimmerz to her wings, jeans and hairband.Highlights with my white gel pen.
Used my Word window punch from SU to make the handle and added some ribbon from SU as well. Chalked he edges around the image (that was cut out with my nesties of course). Added some roses where I twirled the stem.
Hope you'll like it.

Gift set for Mother's Day

It's getting closer to Mother's Day for many of you. (In Sweden it will not be Mother's Day until the last Sunday in May - please see my previous post for more details on that) Our sweet Suzanne - who know can say that she is 35 - Happy belated b'day dear - wanted us to create a gift set to celebrate Mother's Day for TIOT17.

I must say that I first struggled with this challenge. Not that I don't love making gifts, but I wanted to come up with something different. Something that I had not tried myself before.

So to buy me some more time to think - I started with the small card above to go with the fresh flowers that I plan to pick.

I used the Violet Cupcake from Lockhart (please check out the new Lockhart stamps that Susana has received). Coloured the image with my copics and cut it out with my SU punch. Used my flower punches as well and added some Bella Baubles. DPs are all from SU.

Then I needed to find out what gift I wanted to make. Browsed through the web to find a tutorial and found one on how to make coasters on SCS. Even if I did not have the porous tiles - I thought it would be fun to try. So here's the result.
I got to use my heavy white coasters that I had purchased from Angie Juda a long time ago.
I inked them up with my Distress ink - antique linen - to get an "older" look.

Used my Memento Rich Cocoa for my Happy Word Stamp from Susana's own line.
I stamped the words on the backside of the coasters first.

I stamped my little Sassafrass with Rich Cocoa Memento ink on the front side of the coaster. Masked her and stamped the Happy Word Stamp on the front side as well.
Then I coloured the cute little Sassafrass with my copics and added shimmerz to her wings.

Repeated this so that I got 4 (almost) identical coasters for my gift set.

They were not dry when I took the picture - and therefore I could not tie the pink ribbon from SU around them to show you how the final gift set would look like.
Also - I am thinking that I might have to add a cover of varnish to make sure that there's not ink everywhere around the house after using them.

Hope you liked this project and want to try it yourself or come up with a different gift set idea for Mother's Day. Please upload your projects to SCS or PCP using the keyword "TIOT17".

Looking fwd to hear from you.
